CCTV in Bus Shelters
Surveillance cameras have been built into bus shelters in Hyndburn, thanks to a pioneering scheme from Lancashire County Council’s Safer Travel Unit and Hyndburn Community Safety Partnership. Read more about CCTV in Bus Shelters
B Smart
During November 2004, ‘Untouched’, a 3-piece girl group performed live for approximately 1500 pupils in years 7 and 8 in all six secondary schools across the Hyndburn district. It attempted to give young people the opportunity to make informed decisions about how to deal with issues such as drugs and crime in their local community. Click here to find out more about B Smart
Anti Social Behaviour Co-ordinator
On the 28th February the Hyndburn Community Safety Partnership welcomed Susan Brooks to the team. Susan has taken the role of Anti-Social Behaviour co-ordinator following the departure of Vicky Whitfield. With over 14 years experience of working in a local government environment with Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council, she has worked in areas of public and private sector housing. More recently Susan has specialised in tenancy enforcement, anti-social behaviour, community safety and community development, across many areas of Lancashire including - Blackburn, Burnley, Rossendale and Preston.
