The Hyndburn Community Safety Partnership was formed in autumn 1998 and in response to the Crime & Disorder Act 1998. The main aim of the Partnership is to be responsible for, and add value to, the development and effective delivery of the Hyndburn Community Safety Strategy. In order to fulfil this aim the Partnership will be required to address community safety issues identified within the Community Safety Audit of the Borough. The Audit is conducted on a 3 yearly basis and provides a detailed picture of the main crime and disorder issues that affect the people of Hyndburn.
The Hyndburn Community Safety Partnership Steering Group consists of many statutory and voluntary organisations; including Hyndburn Borough Council, Lancashire County Council, Lancashire Constabulary, National Probation Service (Lancashire), Hyndburn & Rossendale Victim Support Scheme, Lancashire Youth
Offending Team, Lancashire Police Authority, Lancashire Fire & Rescue Service, Hyndburn & Ribble Valley Primary Care Trust, Connexions Lancashire, Hyndburn Community Empowerment Network (HyCEN), Neighbourhood Renewal Community Voice (NRCV), Hyndburn Magistrates Court, Government Office North West and The Lancashire Drug Action Team.
In essence, we will work together to make Hyndburn a safer, more comfortable place to live, work and visit.
