A community enterprise is a community led organisation working towards regeneration and renewal. Community ownership of assets can build business capacity and achieve community goals, and trading for a social purpose can further develop community facilities and capabilities. A community enterprise is a business run by members of a local community, where any profits or surplusses are reinvested, thus creating and sustaining wealth and facilities for a community. In Hyndburn we have a number of social enterprises up and running at the moment. To learn more about these, clicks the links and find out what they're all about. If you feel inspired and have an idea for a community enterprise of your own, you can contact Hyndburn First's Community Enterprise Officer, Ellie Taylor, on: Tel: 01254 604660 |
