Harry Wood Cup round up

Attock and All Stars will contest the final of the Harry Wood Cup after winning their respective groups. Both sides won their two group games to reach the final.

Attock began with a 3 wicket win over an 8 man Taverners side who were dismissed for 95, Rameez Shah taking 3-23. Kashmir also beat Taverners (116) by 5 wickets with Mushtaq Ahmed following up a great bowling spell of 4-2 with an unbeaten 38 to set up a decider with Attock.

The game proved to be a thriller with Attock coming out on top by just 5 runs. Attock made 163 with Shabir Ahmed hitting 43 and Mushtaq again enjoying success with the ball, taking 4-38. In spite of 42 from Azhar Nawaz and an unbeaten 39 by Saeed Ullah, Kashmir could only make 158-4
in reply.

All Stars cup run began with a 110 run win over Accrington Snooker. The Imtiaz brothers Mohsin (60) and Zubair (49) top scored in All Stars 210-9 and then 14 year-old Mohammed Anas had a sensational debut by taking 5-23 to dismiss Snooker for 100.

Adams Taxis also beat Snooker to set up a decider with All Stars in the final game in Group B. Mohammed Arfan took 6-12 and Arif Hussain 4-18 to roll Snooker over for just 42 to set up a 10 wicket victory.

All Stars made sure of a place with a convincing 141 win over Adams. All Stars piled up 217-8 with Zubair having a great all round game, hitting 60 and then taking 5-23 to bowl Adams out for 76.

The final will be played on Saturday 30th July at Wilsons.
