Ossie Cup Hopes EndedOswaldtwistle Immanuel's Ramsbottom Cup hopes were thwarted at Gincroft Lane on Sunday where Edenfield romped to a 122 run win. Ex Accrington wicketkeeper Mark Burns made 77 in the home sides 207-7 and then former Baxenden paceman Liam Bones took 5-20 to rip the Immanuel innings apart as the visitors were bowled out for just 85. Great Harwood got back to winning ways with a 31 run win at Ribblesdale Wanderers. Professional Martin Nurse hit 91 and skipper Russ Whalley 64 in Harwood's massive 283-6, a total that proved too much for the home side but Harwood failed to pick any bonus points as the last pair held out. Oswaldtwistle Immanuel suffered their 12th league defeat when Barnoldswick got home by 3 wickets after dismissing Gerard Metcalf's side for 126 at Victory Park. |
