Fielding signs as Baxenden pro

Baxenden have signed Jonathan Fielding as professional for the 2006 season.

The 32 year-old left arm spinner began his career at Ramsbottom and  had a spell on Lancashire’s books, playing one First-class match for the county in 1994 against Cambridge University.

Fielding’s professional career began at Clitheroe but in recent seasons he has been at Walshaw in the Bolton League.

A right handed batsman, Fielding is seen as the ideal man to take the club forward.
