ACCRINGTON Stanley make their first trip to Canvey Island on Tuesday night on the hunt for another three points in their Conference promotion charge.

The Reds face a crucial week which could make or break their season, starting with Canvey before a trip to Burton on Good Friday and then York at the Interlink on Easter Monday.

And manager John Coleman knows his side are on the verge of something big after seeing off play-off rivals Morecambe on Saturday and boosting their bid for a top five place.

"It is a big period in this club's history," said the manager. "We need everyone to get behind us now.

"On Saturday we showed a lot of passion and the desire to win and we need to take it into our next three games. There will be some tired legs after playing with ten men for the entire second half on Saturday but they are fit lads and will have rested up. We have put ourselves into a good position."

Ged Brannan will be missing with a calf injury and Lee McEvilly will sit out the next three games after getting sent off for an alleged elbow against the Shrimps. Canvey, meanwhile, are near the bottom of the table but have striker Lee Boylan in good form with seven goals in the last 10 games. He fractured his ankle earlier in the campaign but has come back strongly.
