Speare in Southport link

FORMER Stanley keeper Jamie Speare is expected to sign for Conference North leaders Southport later this month.The goalkeeoper spent six seasons at the Interlink before being released in the summer and moving to Lancaster.

He has turned in some stunning performances with the Giant Axe side which has prompted Southport's swoop.
It means, if Accrington stay in the Conference next season, he could come up against his old club as Southport are favourites to win promotion to non league's top flight.
