Coleman on Revenge Mission

Stanley boss John Coleman has vowed to get even with relegation-threatened Crawly Town at Broadfield Stadium on Saturday.

"We owe them one," says Coleman in reference to the fact that Crawley Town upset Stanley at Broadfield Stadium last season.

Last term a 2-0 loss to Town virtually ended the Reds play-off hopes but with his side sitting pretty with  13 lead with 12 games to go Coleman is hoping he can erase that bitter memory.

"I remember we played some of our best football and then got hit with a sucker punch and lost."

Crawley were up challenging for promotion in their first season in the Conference last season under Francis Vines but this term went full-time and struggled with Vines sacked. John Hollins has taken over but he has failed to arrest the slump.

Stanley skipper Peter Cavanagh is battling with a knee injury while Robbie Williams is suspended for two games but Andy Todd returns after missing the lucky 2-1 win over Burton last Saturday as he is on loan from Nigel Clough's side. Steve Jagielka played more than a half of Stanley's 4-2 loss to Southport in the Lancashire Trophy semi-final on Tuesday night following a knee operation and he could be in the frame tomorrow.

"We have three crucial away games now which could prove pivotal," said Cavanagh. "We have Crawley, Aldershot on Tuesday and then face our main rivals Hereford a week on Saturday. It is important we get something out of these three."

The Reds have won eight Conference games on the trot and are chasing the record of 11, held by Dagenham and Hereford.
