ACCRINGTON Stanley take a break from league action this weekend as they look to record a momentous double.

Stanley opened up an 11 point gap at the top of the Conference table after their stunning Sky televised 3-1 victory over title rivals Exeter on Monday night.

And now they have their eye on the FA Trophy as they take on Conference North mid-table side Worskop at home in the last 16 on Saturday.

"I don't know if the double has ever been done but it would be magnificent to do it," admitted Reds boss John Coleman. "We won't underestimate Worksop though. They had a win at the weekend which boosted them and they have nothing to lose coming to us so I expect a tough game.

"The FA Trophy is flag ship in non league football and I would love to win it. When I was manager of Ashton we got knocked out in the quarter-finals to a last minute goal at Dagenham and that still hurts."

Coleman will have to change his squad around following the shock departure of midfielder Anthony Barry to League One side Yeovil on transfer-deadline day on Tuesday.

The boss is gutted the teenager chose to leave the Reds but he has signed a replacement in Burton's Andy Todd who he has been chasing for a while.

"Only time will tell if Anthony has made the right move," said Coleman. "It is hard to talk about. But in Andy we have a winger who is good in the air and can score goals and he should be a good addition for us."

Defender Leam Richardson is a doubt with a hamstring injury so Andy Tretton, who finally made his Conference debut for Stanley at Exeter following his summer signing, could again be his replacement.

And Coleman is keeping his fingers crossed that keeper Rob Elliot has recovered from a back injury after he played through the pain barrier at Exeter. Danny Alcock, however, is ready to step in.
