Stanley to face bogey side

ACCRINGTON Stanley face their bogey team Gravesend at home on Saturday as they look to get their promotion chase back on track.

The Reds, whose five game winning streak came to an end in their 3-2 loss to Morecambe on Tuesday, have failed to win against 'Fleet in their four games in the Conference so far.

"They are something of a bogey team," admitted boss John Coleman. "We have drawn three and lost one of our games against them so far and they have quite a few dangerous players including their striker Charlie MacDonald."

Ex-Crawley hitman McDonald has scored five goals so far this season but Coleman isn't worried - he is more impressed with his own plan of  attack.

"We have been doing well going forward," said the boss, whose team have scored 21 goals so far, with David brown leading the way on five and last season's top scorer Paul Mullin having two.

"We have been getting goals from all over the park and we haven't really needed Paul's goals. But we might need them later on in the season.

"We have been getting better as the season has gone on and, while we are attacking, we are keeping our opponents defence away from our  goal."

Coleman will be without left back Chris Butler, who was sent off in the fourth minute against Morecambe, and Leam Richardson who is injured.

"We will have to look at other options but that is why we have a good squad. It is not panic stations."
