Reds bid to bounce back

ACCRINGTON Stanley are looking to bounce back at play-off hopefuls York on Saturday after picking up just two points out of the last nine.

But they are down to the bare bones of their squad especially in defence with Leam Richardson and Robbie Williams suspended and Peter Cavanagh and Andy Tretton still hobbling through with injury.

John Coleman may bring a loan player in but will have to do it before 5pm on Thursday as that is the deadline for loan signings until the end of the season.

And they couldn't face a tougher game as York are an in-form side who have won six of their last seven games and have top scorer Andy Bishop, with 20 goals this season, in their ranks.

"Every game is going to be tough but we have got to get out of this blip," said Coleman. "We need five more wins and that is what we will be looking for as soon as possible so we aren't hanging on at the end of the season."

The Reds boss was upset that his side lost their record of scoring in every league game after Ian Craney had a penalty saved in the last minute of Tuesday night's shock loss to relegation threatened Southport.

"That hurt a lot," said the Reds boss. "I am disappointed. But I was pleased with our performance and if we play like that between now and the end of the season, we won't be far off."
