Stanley bid to make it 8

ACCRINGTON Stanley look to make it eight league wins on the bounce when FA Cup heroes Burton Albion make the trip to the league leaders tomorrow.

The Reds currently have a 13 point gap at the top of the table but Hereford boss Graham Turner still believes his second placed side can catch Stanley providing the Reds slip up.

So the clash with in-form Burton is a huge game as the Reds need to continue their winning streak.

"It won't be easy," said boss John Coleman. "They are on a good run of form since they played Manchester United in the FA Cup and have probably done better away from home.

"They play good football and it will be another tough game for us. Every match between now and the end of the season is a cup final and we need to keep going.

"But if our flair players play like they can and we keep defending like we are, then we should go on."

Captain Peter Cavanagh, who is battling with a knee injury, said: "In some ways this game is tougher than the Morecambe game on Monday night because they have been on a good run. I watched them play against Manchester United in the cup and they did really well."

Cavanagh could be back on the bench as right back Phil Edwards returns from a one-game suspension although Andy Todd, who is on loan from Burton, will miss out because of a clause in his contract saying he can't play against the Brewers.

"I am disappointed because I have scored two goals in two games and it would be nice to get three in three. But I will be cheering the
lads on the from the sidelines," said Todd.

Midfielder Ian Craney admits it is hard not to get caught up in all  the furore as Stanley are so close to returning to the Football League after a 44-year absence.

"We have got to keep our feet on the ground but you can't help but get excited. It is great for the players and the town. John Coleman
has said we could be legends in Accrington if we do it - and we all want to win the league and play league football next season."
