It's in the bag if we can beat Morecambe: Ged

GED Brannan thinks if Accrington Stanley beat Morecambe live on Sky on Monday then the Conference title is theirs.

The Reds old boy is relishing the trip to the Interlink to face his old club as the two promotion rivals clash in front of the cameras.

"It is a big game as if Morecambe win, we are just clinging on and if Accrington win, then I think they have won the title.

"We have been inconsistent this season but we have some quality players and hopefully I can score the winner on Monday."

But before the local derby, Stanley travel to bogey team Gravesend on Friday night looking for three points to extend their lead at the top to 14 points ahead of Saturday's games.

John Coleman's side have never beaten Gravesend and he is out for revenge.

"I think we owe them one as last season at their place they got a last minute penalty which was never a penalty and, if there is any justice, we will put it right. They are pushing for the play-offs and I think they will come out and play and it should be an entertaining game."

Stanley will be without captain Peter Cavanagh who has had an injection on his injured knee and right back Phil Edwards is suspended for Monday's clash.
