Stanley still calling the Shots

ALDERSHOT 1
STANLEY 4

Stanley took another step towards the Conference title and a Football League return with a resounding 4-1 victory over Aldershot.

The victory left John Coleman?s men still with a 16-point lead at the top of the table as second placed Hereford also picked up three points.

The only sour note was the sending off of Leam Richardson for a second bookable offence in injury time.

After a goalless first half Stanley took the lead through Ian Craney on 48 minutes.

The ever impressive Gary Roberts made it 2-0 on the hour mark and Andy Mangan added a third on 67 minutes.

The hosts pulled a goal back through Leroy Griffiths four minutes later only for Roberts to hit his second of the night to make the win safe for Stanley in the 79th minute.

John Coleman's side need six wins from their last ten games to be assured of a return to the Football League for the first time in 44 years.
