ACCRINGTON Stanley boss John Coleman still had to go through injury time jitters despite his side seemingly cruising to victory over struggling Woking.

David Brown opened the scoring for the Reds with his second goal of the campaign on 32 minutes after Leam Richardson had done all the hard work on the left wing and set him up for a powerful finish.

Lloyd Blackman was then sent off for the Cards following a second bookable offence in 61 minutes and, from the resulting Ian Craney free kick, Paul Mullin got the slightest of touches to steer the ball into the net.

Stanley should have sewn it up but seem to get nervous with a lead and when Mark Rawle got one back through a defensive mistake on 88 minutes, Coleman had fears of an undeserved late equaliser. But the Reds held on for a welcome three points after three games without a victory.

"It is heartbreaking the way we put ourselves under pressure when we don't need to," said the boss. "A defensive mistake lets them back in and then they force a late corner and you just wonder.

"But up until that point, the lads did really well. Browny took his goal well and that will boost his confidence and Paul Mullin is definitely claiming that goal."

New international signing Rommy Boco, the Benin captain, didn't get clearance from the French FA but should play in Tuesday's VMI Trophy clash with Great Harwood at the Interlink (ko 7.45pm).
