STANLEY made it five wins out of five and moved to joint top spot in the Conference following their victory at the happy hunting ground of Dagenham.

The Reds haven't lost at the Glyn Hopkin Stadium in their three year spell in non-league's top flight and made sure they picked up another three points on Saturday.

Manager John Coleman was forced to change his line-up for the first time in four games with Chris Butler coming in for the injured Leam Richardson and Steve Jagielka dropping into the right back role for Peter Cavanagh who missed the game for family reasons.

The first half was limited to four efforts - three for Stanley with Gary Roberts and David Brown coming close and Daggers' striker Tresor Kandol firing into the side netting.

But the match sprung into life four minutes after the break when dangerman Roberts' shot bounced off the goalkeeper's legs to David Brown and he had the easy task to walk the ball into the net.

Ten minutes later, Anthony Barry was felled in the area and Ian Craney sent the keeper the wrong way to make it two.

But John Still's side got themselves back in it on 64 minutes when Kandol clipped the ball in from six yards.

It was one-way traffic then as the home side pressed for an equaliser but Stanley kept them at bay.

"We are a good side and we have got to believe in ourselves a bit more," said boss John Coleman. "We totally dominated long periods of  the game and if it had been a boxing match the referee would have stopped it in the first half. But now we have got to keep it going - but we have got to keep our feet on the ground. It is a big game at Morecambe on Tuesday. They are a good side but so are we and they are usually good local derbies."
