ACCRINGTON Stanley opened up a four point gap at the top of the Conference table after their sixth successive win.

Grays defeat at Morecambe leaves them trailing Stanley in second place as the Reds seem unstoppable following their fourth successive home win.

It was always going to be tricky against managerless Kidderminster who parted company with Stuart Watkiss in midweek. But the Reds seem to go from strength to strength as they look real contenders for a return to the Football League.

Stanley's first goal was down to a goalkeeper howler after Dan Lewis let a Gary Roberts' curling free kick squirm through his hands on 13 minutes.

But the second goal, on 78, was real class when Rommy Boco and man of  the match Anthony Barry combined with Paul Mullin slotting the ball 
home to finish off a stunning move.

"The lads have been magnificent," said manager John Coleman. "We had  four home games and we knew it would be a tough ask to take 12 points but we have.

"Now we have just got to keep going and not worry about anyone else. We have a bank of away fixtures coming up and we have got to stay focused and not get nervy."

And he issued a hands off warning to any teams thinking of trying to take his players in the January transfer window.

"People will see Gary Roberts has scored and done well again but we  have to keep hold of players like Gary Roberts if we are to have the ambition to win the league."
