As the countdown to Hallloween begins, a 13-year-old British schoolboy has grown the country's biggest pumpkin - by feeding it on beer!
Joe Hallam from Morton in Lincolnshire has grown a 317kg super pumpkin by watering the fruit with a pint of beer every day.
Young Joe will have to hire a crane to lift the traditional Halloween ornament when he intends to display his record-breaking pumpkin at a show next week.
Willing to share his gardening tips with other children keen to grow their own Halloween decorations, Joe advised: "On some pumpkins I use Guinness, on this one I used Batemans XXXB ale."
