Production deal boost for Hyndburn

Production Glassfibre

Production Glassfibre has relocated to Altham Business Park.

Production Glassfibre supply products to house builders, bus builders, banks, the construction industry and a host of other sectors and is the largest company of its kind in the UK. The move from Blackburn to the unit on Shorten Brook Way will enable Production Glass Fibre to double turnover within 12 months.

"One of the principle attractions of this particular facility is that because it is part of a 3.5 acre site there is the opportunity to expand. Presently we employ over 40 but we believe the numbers will double as we focus on the enormous opportunity within the region," says company Managing Director Steve Grossi.

"A fundamental part of our expansion plan was a move to a modern industrial unit on a modern industrial estate with excellent access to the motorway network."

Production Glass Fibre was established in 1990 and operates from modern factories in Scotland, Ireland and now England. It originally located in Blackburn two years ago after buying a small competitor there but has since outgrown the site.

The facility is being leased from Rossendale based developer The  Group, who Hurstwood only added the of 28,407 sq ft single storey building to its property portfolio earlier this year.

"We are delighted to have been able to find a suitable new home for Production Glassfibre's English operations," says Hurstwood's Senior Development Surveyor Gary Taylor.

"We believe that the site offers a modern, well located home which is ideal for a fast developing business. We pride ourselves on offering a whole range of flexible property options."
