Angels wanted to answer businesses’ prayers

SUCCESSFUL entrepreneurs are being offered the chance to take part in one of the most innovative business improvement programmes in the country.

The acclaimed Guardian Angel Entrepreneur Network — which operates in Hyndburn as well as other parts of the county – allows growing businesses to benefit from mentoring by more experienced counterparts.

But the initiative is proving so popular that organisers are looking to add to their pool of Guardians.

Amanda Meachin, Chief Executive of Community and Business Partners Limited, the organisation which runs the scheme says: “Growing firms face all sorts of challenges and therefore need the help of mentors from a whole host of different backgrounds.

“That’s why we have a wide range of select men and women from the business world who have the experience and knowledge to pass on, as well as a desire to see growing companies succeed.

“At the moment if we’re not careful, we could become victims of our own success. To continue to offer this needed and highly valued service to even more businesses we need to hear from more business leaders, retired directors and so on who are able to help out.

“The aim is to help new business leaders and owners develop the key skills they need to grow their businesses.”

Anyone interested in offering their services or simply wants more details on how to get involved in the scheme is asked to contact Community and Business Partners by e-mail amanda@cbpartners.org or ring on 01254 699910.
