The East Lancs Chamber of Commerce is holding two Technology Events designed to help boost Hyndburn businesses.

The first, Managing the Risks of eBusiness, (8.30 until 10am – breakfast from 8am) on August 25 will focus on critical issues such as data protection, copyright, web-site pitfalls, e-mail abuse, counterfeit software and disaster recovery and will identify simple and cost effective ways to mitigate these risks.

The speakers are Mike Lomas (Head of IT Security, Ashfords Solicitors) and Tony Fisher (Managing Director, SAMpartners).

The second on November 2 (8-8.30am) is entitled Doing Business Online – Working Smart, Saving Time, Saving Money! This event will offer Practical advice on how technology can increase sales opportunities, create a more flexible workforce and a more focused operation, including:
- Make the Most of Your Website
- Do it Online and Save – learn how to submit Tax and VAT returns online, saving and time and money.
- Effective eMail - reach customers, conduct research, improve business communications, share information effectively.
- Mobility - work anytime, anywhere.

The guest speakers are Bob Cunningham (BT), Julie Sherrington (Microsoft) + HM Revenue & Customs.

Both events cost £15 plus VAT and will be held at East Lancashire Chamber of Commerce, Red Rose Court, Clayton le Moors, Accrington BB5 5JR.
